<p>A new link has been added to this site for <a class="offsite-link-inline" title="http://www.vaa16.com/" href="http://www.vaa16.com/" target="_blank">VAA 16</a>, the Kansas City area Vintage Aircraft Association Chapter based at Gardner Municipal Airport west of Gardner, Kansas (the little airport not New Century).&nbsp; Be sure and check it out.&nbsp; They host a great vintage fly-in the last Saturday in June.</p>

between blogs here is sad! &nbsp;The good news is that I go to an airport every day and am more involved with aviation than ever. &nbsp;Lots of "change in the air" for Plane Dames--hopefully all things our customers will like and enjoy--but too soon to write much about that. &nbsp;Had a very wonderful time at and doing the Airline History Museum Hangar Dance. &nbsp;This awesome shot was taken hangar was filled to capacity, the Moonlight Serenade Orchestra and their vocalists were great and it was a perfect evening! &nbsp;Now, in my capacity as the Office and Events Manager for the Airline History Museum I am in the throes of getting ready for our Hangar Dance in two weeks! &nbsp;You don't have to love dancing to have a fabulous time! &nbsp;Click <a class="offsite-link-inline" type="html" xml:lang="en-US"><![CDATA[<p>Since I have been working for the Airline History Museum for 9+ months now, I am in airplane heaven! &nbsp;I am also busier than I have ever been! &nbsp;In keeping up with the AHM doings (and sometimes not even that) I have fallen behind on the Plane Dames updates with photos and videos. &nbsp;We returned yesterday from our first (personally and as vendors) <a class="offsite-link-inline" title="http://www.antiqueairfield.com/" href="http://www.antiqueairfield.com/" target="_blank">Antique Aircraft Association</a> Fly-In at Blakesburg, Iowa. &nbsp;Wow. &nbsp;I have been uploading video to YouTube on and off all day and will be putting it up here very soon, until then you can see them at <a class="offsite-link-inline" title="http://www.youtube.com/user/planedame1" href="http://www.youtube.com/user/planedame1" target="_blank">planedame1</a> on YouTube. &nbsp;I still have a ways to go on the photo editing because it was really hard not to just snap photos continuously! &nbsp;We couldn't be more grateful to Marcy Taylor for inviting us after meeting us at the Wing Nuts Flying Circus in Tarkio, Missouri. &nbsp;More href="http://www.antiqueairfield.com/" target="_blank">Antique Aircraft Association's Annual Fly-in at Blakesburg, Iowa</a>.&nbsp; We have been hearing about the camraderie and the quality of the photo for the next shirt coming.&nbsp; This shirt will be printed on a new crew neck style, will feature our "Women Breaking the Bonds" tagline and pay tribute to one of the most significant planes in airliner history, the DC-3.&nbsp; It was a fun shoot and you'll see and read more about it soon!&nbsp; Here our beatiful "Blonde Bond Breaker" descends from the wing of the type="html" xml:lang="en-US"><![CDATA[<p>We are very excited about two movies that release this year about Plane Dames.&nbsp; <a title="http://www.pearlthemovie.net/news.htm" href="http://www.pearlthemovie.net/news.htm" target="_blank">"Pearl"</a> --Pearl Carter Scott the youngest licensed pilot in aviation history, has been shown at a film festival in Dallas but I have not seen a national release day--so I emailed them.&nbsp; Will post the answer I receive.&nbsp; And coming October 23rd is <a title="http://www.foxsearchlight.com/amelia/" href="http://www.foxsearchlight.com/amelia/" target="_blank">"Amelia."</a>&nbsp; Between the fact that Hillary Swank is portraying Amelia, Richard Gere is George Putnam and most importantly, there will be all those wonderful airplane scenes--this can't miss in our book!&nbsp; It was on October 22, 1922 that Amelia set an altitude world record for female pilots.&nbsp; We sure do look forward to
